“Ioan Suiugan, was found somewhere in the plant, suffered a massive heart attack, was resurrected and transported to the nearest hospital” Per doctor’s words, at the GM Plant in Tonawanda, Buffalo.
Ioan Suiugan was transferred, despite his critical condition to Mercy Hospital of Buffalo for further treatment, because Kenmore didn’t have the necessary equipment to deal with such a complicated case.
Raymond Kelly MD (Kenmore) contacted Kiera at Buffalo for the transfer.
During this period, there was confusion and delay in providing the necessary care. Witnesses we talked to said they saw him falling, while the EMS report says that he was found by bystanders after an unspecified amount of time. They assumed he was 60 min without a heartbeat.
When my brother and I arrived, they took us in a separate room to discuss a plan of stopping the machines that were keeping Ioan Suiugan alive, which I thought is too soon to take such a drastic decision without giving him a chance. We refused.
7/26/2023 Discharged from Trinity after he contracted UTI from the hospital, they said that there is nothing they can do and they couldn’t find any place for him, due to his brain injury he sustained after being with no oxygen for extended time. (On our visits to Trinity Hospital, we had to wear yellow hazmat covers on our clothes because of the infection.)
7/26/2023 We took him to my Aunt Vicky Boboc, who owns a group home, even though he was not ready to be discharged from Trinity Hospital because of the UTI infection he contracted.
8/1/2023Called ambulance and he was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he spent almost a month. First week in the hospital, we saw major improvements in his awareness, but after the first 2 weeks, Beaumont started to heavily sedate him, because he was too difficult to handle and needed a nurse 24/7 in room with him to make sure he doesn’t pull on the feeding tube or catheter.
8/29/2023 Discharged back to my aunt’s house, despite our pleads to keep him for another week because of his degrading condition and what sounded like pneumonia. The doctor at Beaumont suggested… to take him to a hospice location where he will be heavily sedated and will pass away in time. They were doing the same to him but they were pretending that they help him recover. The doctors started avoiding talking to us and he was left unsupervised in the room with a camera watching over him.
9/6/2023 He was admitted back at Beaumont Hospital where for the next 2 weeks he was heavily sedated and his health was declining rapidly. His main doctor suggested we let nature take its course and stop the feeding tube to put him on morphine until he passes in a hospice.
9/14/2023 He was taken again to my aunt’s group home where we put him on hospice to get supplies and nurses that would come and see him. He also got a better bed and someone came twice a week to wash him. He spent the rest of his days at his sister’s nursing home, surrounded by family and friends and he seemed happier, calmer and overall better.
